1.Ques: WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE PERMANENT RESIDENCY (PR)?
1 Ans : Anyone who invests a minimum of 250,000 Euros in Greek property, along with their family members are eligible. Family includes spouse, children (under 21 years, but can be extended to 24), parents of the applicant and of the spouse.
2. Ques: HOW LONG IS THE PR VALID?
2 Ans :The Greek Permanent Residency is valid for life as long as the property remains in the name of the applicant. You need to renew the Residency Card every 5 years.
3.Ques : WHAT IS THE CARD RENEWAL PROCESS?
3 Ans : You need to present a certificate of ownership of the property and submit biometric data once in every five years.
4.Ques : HOW FAST CAN YOU RECEIVE PR?
4 Ans : You can receive your PR in as little as 10 days from the day of receiving the title deed, if the house is located in Chania, Crete and within 3 months approximately if the property is in Santorini, Paros or Athens.
5 Ques: Can one Resell His PR ? 5 Ans : Yes, PR is transferrable to a new Investor (but the original Investor’s PR rights cease to exist)
6 Ques : Can the Owner put his Property on rent ?
6 Ans : Yes, you can put your property on rent and earn benefits of it.
7. Ques : Is it mandatory for the investor to stay in Greece and to Work and Reside there only.
7 : Ans : It is not mandatory for the investor to stay in greece , he can be anywhere and make benefits from his property in Greece, Cyprus . The Only time that he is really needed is for his title deed ownership renewal every 5 years.
8. Ques : Can we travel to any Schengen country using the PR ?
8 Ans : Schengen Visa: Greece is part of the Schengen Treaty, hence the permit is also a Schengen visa (attached is a document/ PR presentation including all Schengen countries). The advantage here is, you can travel direct from your country to any Schengen country using your Greek Permit. In addition, you can stay in any Schengen country for 90 days every six month period.
