NILE VALLEY RED SEA, EGYPT

Egypt, a country linking northeast Africa with the Middle East, dates to the time of the pharaohs. Millennia-old monuments sit along the fertile Nile River Valley, including Giza's colossal Pyramids and Great Sphinx as well as Luxor's hieroglyph-lined Karnak Temple and Valley of the Kings tombs. The capital, Cairo, is home to Ottoman landmarks like Muhammad Ali Mosque and the Egyptian Museum, a trove of antiquities.

Day 01: Arrival Cairo

  • Meet at Cairo Airport upon arrival by Excel Travel representative who will assist you through airport customs & formalities. You will be escorted immediately to your hotel by Excel A/C modern fleet.

  • Check in the hotel upon arrival & overnight in Cairo.

Day 02: Pyramids, Sphinx, Museum, Khan El Khalili  (B)

  • Early breakfast at the hotel in Cairo then start a guided tour to visit one of the Seven Wonders the great Pyramids of Giza; (Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus) were reckoned by the Greeks to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A single pyramid is built with 2.300.000 blocks, each weighing an average of two and a half tones. In the face of such immensity, one cannot help but feel the wonder and awe that so many writers and artists have sought to convey over the centuries. The Cheops Pyramid is more interesting, because its interior burial chambers are open for inspection by the public. Not far from the Pyramids is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which dates from the time of Chephren (2620 BC). Hewn from natural yellowish limestone and standing 65 feet-high and 187 feet-long, this unforgettable statue combines the head of a Pharaoh with a lion's body. A quick visit to papyrus institute or a perfume shop can be arranged after the visit.

  • Afternoon visit to the Egyptian Museum for another tour

  • Egyptian Museum; was established by the Egyptian government in 1835. The present museum building was built in 1900, in the new classical style by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon. The museum exhibited collections now exceed 120,000 objects ranges from pre-historic era to the Greco Roman period. It has 107 halls, and the ground floor houses huge statues. The upper floor houses small statues, jewels, Tutankhamen treasures and the mummies. The museum also comprises of a photography section and large library. A hall for the Royal Mummies was opened at the museum, housing eleven kings and queens.

  • After the visit of the museum a short drive through the downtown will take you to Khan El Khalili bazaars; which is one of the most famous worldwide with its amazing narrow alleyways.

  • Drive back to the hotel & overnight at the hotel in Cairo 

Day 03: Cairo - Aswan- Cruise (Friday, Wednesday)   (B, L, D)

  • Breakfast in the hotel, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan

  • Meet & assist upon arrival at Aswan Airport & transfer to the Nile Cruise

  • 11:00  Check-In

  • 12:30  Lunch on board

  • 13:30  Visit the High Dam, the Temple of Philae

  • 19:30  Dinner on board.

  • Overnight in Aswan

Day 04:  Aswan – Kom Embo – Edfu  (B, L, D)

  • 07:00  Breakfast on board (Optional tour to Abu simble)

  • 12:30  Lunch on board

  • 13:00  Sailing to Kom Ombo

  • 17:00  Visit the Temple shared by two gods Sobek & Haeroris in Kom Ombo

  • 18:30  Sailing to Edfu.

  • 19:30  Dinner on board.

  • Overnight in Edfu.

Day 05: Edfu – Luxor  (B, L, D)

  • 06:00  Tea and Coffee Before the visit of Edfu temple

  • 06:30  Visit of Horus Temple in Edfu.

  • 08:00  Breakfast on board.

  • 08:30  sailing to Luxor via Esna

  • 13:00  Lunch on board.

  • Afternoon free at leisure or enjoy an optional tour to visit the East Bank

  • 20:00 Dinner on board.

  • Overnight in Luxor.

Day 06: West bank – Proceed to Hurghada by bus  (B, L, D)

  • 07:00  Breakfast on board

  • 08:00  Check- out after breakfast

  • 08:00  Visit West Bank - Valley of the Kings, and Temple of Queen Hatshepsut

  • After the visit, disembark from the cruise and drive from Luxor to Hurghada.

  • Check in the hotel upon arrival Hurghada. The rest of your day is at leisure.

  • Overnight at the hotel in Hurghada.

Day 06 - 08 Free at leisure - Hurghada

  • The Hurghada city is divided to three partitions, El Dahar area is the old area in Hurghada and it has the old market and Bazaars in Hurghada, the biggest Masjed in Hurghada and church. The second area called El Sakala and this one consists of many of Bazaars, Cafes, discus, Hurghada Marina, Hurghada port which ferry boats leave to Sharm El Sheikh and Saudi Arabia. The newest area is the Touristic Road that take place in front of the hotels, there are many Bazaars, cafes and discus along the road.

  • Hurghada has many islands far from its beach but there are two big island that are famous and you can do trips to them, Giftun and Mahmya Islands are the main diving and snorkeling sites to which daily boats take diving parties. The island has a beautiful sand reef, and garden of corals and exotic marine life.

  • Hurghada offers a Varity of activities that you can do in the sea or in the desert, the fantastic coral reefs in the sea make the snorkeling and diving is one of the main activities in Hurghada, there are daily trips by boat to do snorkeling and diving operated by diving centers in the hotels also you can do the Galss boat, this one is good for the kids as they can see the coral reefs without swimming or diving. During these trips they stop at Giftun Island one of the national park in Hurghada, other water sports take place in Hurghada as windsurfing, kitesurfing and waterskiing.

  • Sindbad Submarine is one of the fascinating trips in Hurghada, submarine sail every day two or three times to dive with 44 passengers for 20 meters under water to see the underwater views and marina life of the red sea.

  • The Majestic desert of Hurghada is amazing like its beaches and coral reefs, those they love adventure prefer to do the trips to the desert and the mountains, the safari tour operators have a nice tour through the desert, you can do the Jeep 4*4 safari trip or Quad Bike desert tours, during the desert trips you will have the opportunity to ride the Camels and learn about the Bedouin people and their life. After you make your trip through the desert and mountain, you will be head to the most interest dinner you can do, the Bedouin Barbecue Dinner with Bedouin music and party. Also, there is star gazing with powerful telescope for those who want to see the stars, as well morning Quad Bike for people who are interest to drive longer and explore the desert.

Day 09: Hurghada – Cairo

  • Breakfast in the hotel, check out and transfer to Hurghada Airport for your flight back to Cairo.

  • Drive back to the hotel & overnight in Cairo.

Day 10: Final departure (B)

  • Breakfast in the hotel, check out and transfer to Cairo Airport for your final departure
