Hanoi and Saigon have been rivals since the French colonial period for almost a hundred years (until 1954), and alternated at various times as the capital of French Indochina. The country split in two with the French departure in 1954-56, with the north using Hanoi and the south using Saigon.

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL – HANOI CITY TOUR (-/-/-)
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International airport in Hanoi, you will be greeted by driver and local guide. Transfer to the hotel, check in hotel (check in time 2pm).
Afterward, enjoy Hanoi city tour. Visit the Ho Chi Minh complex (outside), including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum - the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or uncle Ho, then visit Pillar Pagoda - a group of structures consisting of a pagoda and a tower built in the middle of a square lake. Visit The Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam.
Drive to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, which is on the shore of West Lake and enjoy fresh air at West Lake. The last place of city tour is Hanoi Old Quarter & Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword Lake) with Ngoc Son Temple (outside) to see the peaceful green waters, The Huc Bridge, Thap But (Pen Tower).

DAY 2: HANOI – NINH BINH – HANOI (B/-/-)
After 90km drive south of Hanoi will lead you to Ninh Binh, the site of the one capital city of ancient Vietnam before Hanoi took its leading role in 11th century. The area is featured by lots of well-known sceneries, which includes Tam Coc and Hoa Lu ancient capital with the old temples dedicated to King Dinh & King Le reigned in 10th century. The visit in Ninh Binh starts by Hoa Lu ancient capital with Dinh & Le temples. Continue to take a boat trip in Tam Coc where spectacular limestone karsts jut out from the green paddy fields reminding about Guilin (China) and Halong Bay of Vietnam, which gives this scenery the name “Halong-bay-on-land”. Back to Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE (B/L/D)
After early breakfast, the driver will pick you up at hotel then drive to the coastal port of Halong. The journey takes around four hours with a break to stretch your legs. Upon arrival in Tuan Chau Marina, embark your boat and start cruising. Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site composed of almost 2,000 islands and jungle-clad limestone pillars.
After arriving at noon, you will board a beautiful boat for an overnight cruise on Halong Bay with an excellent menu of fresh seafood. Lunch and dinner are served on board.

DAY 4: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B/BR/-)
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the aquamarine waters of the bay at its best. After tea/coffee and pastries have been served, the boat will continue to cruise quietly through the spectacular limestone formations of Halong Bay. Enjoy this more isolated part of the bay’s spectacular and unique islands. You will return to Halong Harbor after a very hearty brunch on board (at 12pm).

DAY 5: HANOI – FLIGHT TO DANANG (B/-/-)
After breakfast, free at leisure until driver pick you up at your hotel to transfer to Noi Bai international airport to catch flight to Danang City. Arrive in Da Nang and You’ll be warmly greeted at airport then transfer to hotel for check-in.
Free to explore Danang on your own. Overnight in Da Nang.
DAY 6: DANANG – MARBLE MOUNTAIN – HOI AN – DANANG (B/-/-)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart to visit Marble Mountain, a cluster of five limestone and marble hills. Explore the caves, pagodas, and shrines nestled within the mountains, such as Huyen Khong Cave, Tam Thai Pagoda, and Linh Nham Cave.
Continue to visit Hoi An town, recognized by UNESCO in 1999 as a World Heritage site because of its unusually well-preserved ancient streets and homes: Japanese Bridge, a Sino-Vietnamese - Japanese merchant house, the Chinese Fujian Temple, Hoi An central market, Museum of History and Culture, Hoi An Handicraft Workshop.

DAY 7: DANANG – BANA HILL – FLIGHT TO SAIGON (B/-/-)
After breakfast at the hotel, starting tour to Bana Hill. Driver and local guide will pick-up you at the hotel and transfer to Bana Hill. Take Cable Car which gains 5 world scores to Ba Na hills station. Stop at By Night station to visit Golden Bridge, Vong Nguyet hills, Linh Ung pagoda, The Old Villas of French. Continue moving up by cable car to the Nui Chua Mountain – the top of Ba Na range, visiting Nghinh Phong top, Le Nim Villas, Orchid Garden… Experience hill climbing train (first and unique funicular in Vietnam) and visit an old French cellar (Debay Ancient Wine Cellar), flower garden Le Jardin D’amour and Linh Ung Pagoda.
Transfer to Danang airport to take short flight to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon
DAY 8: SAIGON – MEKONG DELTA – SAIGON (B/-/-)
The one-day cruise excursion brings you to My Tho. While there, you can take a walk along the waterfront, lined with French-era shops and houses, and you'll see plenty of coconuts being unloaded from boats for dispatch around the country. Then, jump on a boat for cruising on the Mekong River. The excursion will end at around 4:00 pm.
Back to Saigon for overnight.
DAY 9: SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNELS – SAIGON CITY TOUR (B/-/-)
After breakfast, visitors depart to visit Cu Chi Tunnels, which is an underground defense system built by Viet Minh resistance officials from 1946 - 1948. The tunnel system includes clinics, rooms, kitchens, storage, and office. Length of about 250km, here is the Vietnam soldier’s battle base in the resistant American period. Have a short walk into the jungle to visit the traps, the secret entrance, the bunkers, and
the underground hideouts. Go back to Saigon after Cu Chi excursion.
In the afternoon, start half day Saigon city tour. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office: Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Continue to visit Thien Hau Pagoda. Built in the early 19th century, Thien Hau pagoda is the most famous sacred place in the middle of prosperous Saigon, Vietnam. This 200-year-old temple is also a peaceful spot to pray for blessings for their families and loved ones.
End of the tour is Ben Thanh Market: This bustling market is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dai.
