This name remained until the time of French conquest in the 1860s, when the occupying force adopted the name Saïgon for the city, a westernized form of the traditional Vietnamese name. The current name was given after the Fall of Saigon in 1975, and honors Hồ Chí Minh, the first leader of North Vietnam.

DAY 1: HO CHI MINH ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR (-/-/-)
Meet on arrival at Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat International Airport and transfer to hotel. (Noted: Check in at 14:00pm)
Start the tour to explore HCM city. The first place to visit in the tour will be the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of the war in April 1975. After Reunification Palace, you can walk to see some French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Central Post Office.
Continue to Chinatown, Thien Hau pagodas, which is dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. Explore the highlights of this fascinating area, beginning with intricate friezes, carved tableau and impressive incense coils that make for some great photos. Then observe street life through the narrow streets to Binh Tay market that sells everything from clothes to dried squid.
Have Lunch at a local Indian restaurant, then continue to visit War Remnants Museum where there is a vast display of the both the Indochina wars. In courtyard massive military vehicles are for exhibition as well as tiger cages for the visitor to get a feel on how it was to be a prisoner during wartime. In the museum building itself, each floor will represent a separate theme from the war and the war crimes committed towards the Vietnamese people.

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY – CAO DAI – CU CHI TUNNELS (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel.
08:00 You will be picked up at your hotel. Drive a long way on the countryside of Vietnam to Tay Ninh, 100 km from Ho Chi Minh city. On arrival to the headquarters of the Cao Dai religion, you will have a chance to witness the daily ceremony at Cao Dai Holy See, and meet followers that come to attend the ceremony wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity and Buddhism. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Drive to the tunnels of Cu Chi, where are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels that are located in the Cu Chi district of Saigon and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underline much of the country. On our way there we drive through pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice paddies. At the Cu Chi tunnels, you will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed
by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on
display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. After that transfer back to Saigon. Back to your hotel at around 18:30.

DAY 3: HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA – HO CHI MINH CITY (B/-/-)

Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.
Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation.
Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 4: HO CHI MINH – VUNG TAU BEACH – HO CHI MINH (B/-/-)
08:00 am, pick you up from hotel depart for Vung Tau. Breakfast en route.
On arrival Vung Tau and leisure time at Thuy Van beach (Back beach) - one of the nicest beaches in Vietnam with the shore runs for almost 10km, full with fine sands and white waves.
Lunch is served at a restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the Jesus Christ Statue, Thang Tam Temple (Whale Temple), Bach Dinh (a.k.a. Villa Blanche in French or White Palace in English), Cape Nghinh Phong. Taking a short break. Back to Ho Chi Minh City around 18:00pm.

DAY 5: GO SHOPPING – DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. Check out hotel and shopping at Ben Thanh market where anything and everything is for sale.
Transfer to the airport for departure flight.
